Mac's Jango Fett /AKC/UKC OFA certified
Jango is a chocolate and tan long hair, true miniature, he weighs 7lbs. He is currently working on his UKC Championship title. He has his OFA health clearances.
Kervin's Lilith/AKC/UKC OFA certified
Lily is a black and cream long hair with her OFA health clearances. She currently weighs 11lbs.
Our Show Incentive Program
Why have a showing incentive program?
Here at Mac Fam Dachshunds, we want our puppies to be great all around dogs for their families to enjoy. We really enjoy showing. Showing doesn't just include parading around a ring. There are many different things you can do with your Dachshund even if they are fixed! There are different AKC & UKC all breed sports they can be involved in such as DASH (FastCat with AKC). This involves chasing a flag lure as fast as they can in a straight line. Something Dachshunds are EXCELLENT at doing. There is Earth Dog, Barn Hunt where they can track down and locate live rats (in protective cages). It is super fun and shows off their natural instincts. There is scent work. Dachshunds are OUTSTANDING at using those long noses for finding things! So you don't have to settle for conformation shows, you can do all kinds of things for fun with your Dachshund and exercise that competitive spirit.
How does our show incentive program work?
We give you $50 for every title you earn with AKC or UKC up to $250. You earn a Champion title with UKC , you send us confirmation of the title, we send you $50! You also will get your name as well as you & your dog featured on our website! This serves as a way to promoting our kennel and allowing you to find out how much fun showing/competing can be! Many of the field events your dog can be fixed and participate! You can check on UKC and AKC websites for more information on eligibility requirements. All of our puppies are registered with both registries so they are eligible registry wise, some of the competitions require them to be a year old. So check the rules!
